How to Vote
Measure 4-247 is on the ballot in Astoria this November. Oregon votes by mail. Here is everything you need to cast your ballot.
October 13 is the last day to register to vote in the November 3 election. You can register or update your address online at Oregon Votes.
Clatsop County begins mailing ballots to every registered voter on October 14. If yours has not arrived by late October, contact the County Clerk—replacement ballots are mailed through October 29.
Ballots deposited in an official drop box must be received by 8:00 PM. Mailed ballots must be postmarked by Election Day—do not wait until the last day to mail yours.
Returning Your Ballot
You can return your ballot at any official drop box in Clatsop County, or mail it back—postage is prepaid. Remember to sign the outside of the return envelope; unsigned ballots cannot be counted.
Do not mail your ballot at the last minute. Mail sent from Astoria is postmarked in Portland, not locally, so a ballot dropped in a mailbox near Election Day may not be postmarked in time to count. If it is within a week of November 3, use the official drop box instead.
